I attended high school in a city where busing discrimination took place; South Boston, Massachusetts. During my high school years which started off with a lot of promise proving my intellect, skipping school became the norm, but that all ceased when a youth enrichment program called, Teen Empowerment, stimulated my mind. I soon became a youth organizer. Following high school I attended BunkerHill Community College only to make my mother happy, but soon decided I just wanted to work, have fun, and become an entrepreneur.
In 2008, I had a near death experience on a motorcycle that caused me to be in a coma for weeks, and left with serious nerve damage. The affect this had on my life inspired me to follow my dreams as an entrepreneur seriously so I enrolled at the New England Institute of Art for a Bachelor’s degree in web design, and a certificate in video production.
I received my certificate first, then enrolled in courses towards my Bachelors. After taking classes in my chosen studies the school informed me that before moving forward I was required to take unrelated pre-requisites. I slowly realized it was all a business, and decided to leave with the knowledge I had already gained. I worked for a fortune 500 hundred company, so I used it to my advantage, using my networking skills, resources, and ambition to help start my own business: Urcitylive.com.
After getting my business started personal life took a toll, I lost both of my grandparents, two cousins a year a part from each other, and my best friend. To top it all, during my first adult trip back to Haiti, my mother’s country, I found out the person I thought was my father, was not; my true awakening! This reminded me to live life to the fullest, realizing even more that life isn’t promised. It taught me that we as a people must live with purpose, and good intention. So with that said…
I got engaged in Paris, France at the Palace of Versailles and while there visited the Eiffel Tower inspired to aim for the top and build something great .
Later followed by my wedding in Santorini, Greece at “Le Ciel”, the french word for “the sky”. Ending with a tour of beaches in Mykonos and history at the Acropolis in Athens….
Capturing the moment with the help of Flavio D photography and bringing the vision to life with the help of Hermela Belachew’s beautiful wedding planning

As a business owner and licensed Real Estate agent born on Martin Luther King day, like him I have a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. One day all my people will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day people from all ethnic backgrounds will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Massachusetts, a state with plenty of injustice, and oppression will be transformed into an oasis of true freedom and equality. Not only racially but financially.
